Michael is a License Professional Counselor (LPC). He works from a multicultural view point. His focus is on cultural diversity in group and individual sessions. Some of his areas of work include family, couples, children and relationships. He also works with clients individually with various kinds of issues like depression and anxiety. Michael specializes in children, troubled families and those who have experienced various forms of trauma as they travel and journey throughout this life. He understands that people experience grief and loss such as divorce or death and seperation from loved ones which includes the dynamics of blended families. His rich background of personal life experiences from his 11 years of ministry offers a unique spiritual aspect to the counseling services along with the additional skills he developed while working for Catholic Charities of West Michigan. He has a rich understanding of things people face in life. It is important for potential clients to have confidence that their counselor understands that they face unique and personal life experiences and events that are painful emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually and that he is capable of helping them work through those painful experiences to make a positive difference in their life.
